Tuesday, October 6 – Gender Identity Group ~ Online

This is a positive, safe, inclusive, supportive space for, gender non-conforming, non-binary, transsexual, transgender, gender queer inter-sexed or questioning (or any variation there of under the rainbow spectrum) people living in or near Kelowna or the Okanagan are to discuss matters and various topics while providing and obtaining peer support.

We meet every Tuesday from 6-8 via Discord.

Tuesday, October 6 – Men 55+ Online, 6 pm – 7:30 pm, hosted by Health Initiative for Men ~ Online

A facilitated safe space to talk, listen, and share your experiences of conscious ageing with other gay men. Topics include growing older, understanding issues of isolation, motivation, financial issues, physical health, sex, and more.

This is an online event, if you are interested in participating please register by e-mail at register@checkhimout.ca. Once your registration is approved, you will receive instructions about how to connect to the meeting using Zoom.

Attendance is free, or by donation.

This group is open to self-identified men (trans, cis, and other men), two-spirit and non-binary folks who also identify as gay, bi, queer, asexual, and/or as guys who are into/or have sex with guys (for any reason – including for work).

Tuesday, October 6 – HIM Yoga, 5:30 pm, hosted by Health Initiative for Men ~ Online

Come stretch those knots away and do Yoga with HIM online! Just get your Yoga mat and bottle of water ready!

This session is open to all GBT2Q men living across BC. This is an online event via Zoom App. To register, please follow the link below:

Saturday, October 10 – Women’s Hiking Group, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, hosted by Kelowna Rainbow Women ~ Kelowna

How about a hike into the Rose Valley on the West Side.

This is a gorgeous hike with some elevation – but gradual – so no real steep climbs. Very scenic with oodles of photo opportunities.

Sunday, October 11 – Women’s Walking Group, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, hosted by Kelowna Rainbow Women ~ Kelowna

This will be a bi-weekly walking group for women in Kelowna’s LGBTQ2+ community. This is a walk, not a hike on flat, even terrain.

This event is for all cis and trans women, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in the space that centres around the experiences of women.

Sunday, October 11 – Movie Night, hosted by Friends of Dorothy Lounge ~ Kelowna

Spooky Sunday’s have landed at the lounge. Grab your hunny, your best Judy, or a couple of ghouls and hit up the lounge to cozy up and watch some classics. Keep those creeper peepers 👀 peeled on Facebook and insta to see what we are viewing. You may even be able to get involved to vote 😉 . Sunday, October 11 – TransParent Okanagan Meeting, hosted by TransParent Okanagan ~ Online

TransParent provides community consultation, advising and advocacy on issues related to families of trans youth. They also operate a peer support network, monthly meetings, guest speakers and a lending library of books, videos and other resources.
