QUSIC – Terez

Musician Name: Terez
Genre: Pop
Content Rating: PG – Parental guidance is suggested for designated age range (7-13 yrs); some material may not be suitable for all children due to coarse language.
Hosted at & Sponsored by: Friends of Dorothy Lounge in downtown Kelowna.
Financially Supported by: Creative BC, FACTOR and Canada’s private radio broadcasters

Terez (she/her/hers) may be making her debut releases, but this young pop singer is anything but new to the music scene. Already with a fan base of over 100K followers, collaborating with influencers like Nicole Arbour, and having performed across North America, sharing stages with heavy hitters such as Keith Urban, Terez is making a mark on her own accord with the release of original music.

With her passion originating from songwriting, Terez uses her music as a platform to discuss topics such as self-love, mental health, and acceptance. Everyone has secrets and unflattering truths; Terez aims to showcase her truth to make fans feel more accepting of their own. Her deeply vulnerable, and personal lyrics aim to make listeners feel related to and understood, while her pop melodies and dynamic vocals make you want to dance. Terez has more interest in one’s humanity rather than their gender, and looks forward to telling her musical story on QUSIC.

Brandon Schmor (he/him/his) is a 25 year old self-taught pianist and vocalist from Vernon BC, who enjoys performing both covers, and his own original songs, spanning a wide range of musical genres including Blues, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Soul, Punk, Grunge, and even Ragtime Saloon Piano. Around the age of 3, he began to pick out the notes from songs he had heard, on an old toy piano that was given to him. He continued to be fascinated with music, and pianos, eventually prompting his family to bring home a large antique upright piano for him to play on. Brandon finally gained the confidence to come out as gay to his family in 2017, and was fortunate to receive acceptance, and support. Brandon is also diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism, does not read sheet music, and plays piano entirely by ear, and emotion.
