National Webinar: From Criminality to Celebration: The History of LGBTQ2+ people and employment in Canada
This session, led by Pride at Work Canada Manager of Programs Jade Pichette, will bring learners through a history of LGBTQ2+ people and employment in Canada. From the “pansy colonies” of 1930s Toronto, to purges of suspected homosexuals by the federal government, to the fight of gay liberation, to legal protections and contemporary workplace celebrations, LGBTQ2+ people have had a long road to find workplaces that are affirming. However, there is a lot more work to do. This webinar will reveal how we can learn from our past to build a brighter future.
