Non-binary, singer-songwriter, Rae Spoon releases a career-encompassing box-set

Rae Spoon, a native of Calgary, Alberta, is releasing a digital box set, including sheet music that spans the entirety of their career.

Rae Spoon Songbook is the product of hours of work by Spoon and Catherine Hiltz, the former bassist of Edmonton’s Hot Panda, who played on Spoon’s 2019 release Mental Health. Hiltz charted the songs for the accompanying sheet music. Spoon went over all of their recorded material, starting with their most recent songs on Mental Health and working backwards through 11 albums worth of material. They didn’t have access to lyric sheets for the earliest tracks, which posed a bit of a challenge.
